Regional Vice President of Partnerships/Sales

JOB SUMMARY:

As a Regional Vice President of Partnerships/Sales, you will be responsible for overseeing and managing the operations and performance of a designated region including multiple sales territories within our organization. This role entails leading a team of dedicated sales professionals and driving sales growth to achieve business goals and objectives within your assigned geographic region. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams including Marketing, Partner Experience, and Product Development, build and maintain client relationships, and ensure the successful execution of the region’s business plan.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Territory Management:

  • Develop and execute a comprehensive regional business plan in alignment with corporate revenue goals and process objectives.
  • Monitor and analyze key performance metrics to assess regional performance and adjust strategies as needed.
  • Identify growth opportunities and potential threats within the territory and develop plans to address them.
  • Work as a collaborative colleague with Implementation and Renewal personnel to help secure healthy client partnerships and secure renewals.

Sales and Revenue Growth:

  • Drive sales initiatives and revenue growth strategies within the region.
  • Monitor sales pipelines and work closely with the team to meet and exceed sales targets.
  • Implement and monitor accountability of individual and team performance data in CRM to ensure an accurate reflection of the pipeline and sales activity.
  • Identify opportunities to expand market share and profitability.

Team Leadership:

  • Conduct regular performance evaluations of direct reports, and provide coaching and feedback as needed.
  • Foster a collaborative and motivated team environment to ensure the achievement of sales and operational targets.
  • Lead the team with pride and honor; reflecting a positive and healthy work environment at Defined for all personnel.

Client Relationship Management:

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients and stakeholders within the region.
  • Identify client needs and preferences, and work with the team to develop tailored solutions that meet or exceed client expectations.
  • Resolve client issues and concerns promptly and professionally.

Market Analysis and Strategy:

  • Stay informed about industry trends, competitor activities, and market conditions.
  • Develop strategies to capitalize on market opportunities and address challenges.
  • Fiscal Responsibility:
  • Adhere to the budget by managing travel, sales, and account management expenses.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Sales, Marketing, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 10 years of relevant sales experience, with at least 5 years in a leadership role within the education technology industry.
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate, present, and influence credibly and effectively at all levels of the organization, including executive and C-level.
  • Proven ability to drive the sales process from plan to close.
  • Strong business sense and industry expertise in the K-12 education technology market.
  • Displays strong skills in the areas of strategic thinking, problem-solving, and adaptability.
  • Excellent mentoring, coaching, and people management skills.
