
Jennifer Sherman
Instructional Leader
Jennifer Sherman is an experienced educator and hospitality professional with a passion for preparing students for college and career success. With over two decades of experience in both educational and industry settings, she brings a unique blend of practical expertise and instructional leadership to every role she undertakes.
She is currently a full-time instructor at CT State @ Manchester, a community college in Connecticut. Jen’s professional background includes 14 years as a CTE Teacher for Hartford Public Schools, where she focused on integrating real-world experiences, college-level rigor, and 21st-century learning tools into her classrooms. She has developed curricula, led online course design, mentored new teachers, pioneered Financial Literacy for the district, and guided educators in Project-Based Learning.
Jen holds a Bachelor of Science in Foodservice Management and an Associate degree in Pastry Arts from Johnson & Wales University, a Master of Business Administration with a concentration in Leadership, and a Certificate of Advanced Graduate Studies in Education. She holds multiple professional certifications, including Project-Based Learning Coaching and iTeach Online Teaching Certification.
Known for her enthusiasm, excellent communication skills, and ability to connect with diverse student and professional communities, Jen is dedicated to mentoring the next generation of culinary and hospitality leaders. Outside of work, she enjoys traveling, spending time with her family, and attending live music events.
