Defined’s comprehensive career-connected learning platform supports West Virginia's career and technical education initiatives such as the West Virginia College and Career Readiness Dispositions and Standards for Student Success (WVCCRDSSS), Mandatory Career and Technical Education Information for High School Students, Discover Your Future, Simulated Workplace, Work Exploration Programs (WEP), the Governor's Workforce Credential, Career Readiness Guide, and more. Our resources help districts strengthen the implementation of CTE by connecting academic learning to West Virginia's 16 career clusters and state-recognized programs of study ensuring students explore high-demand pathways aligned with the state's workforce priorities.

Students step into the role of a wildlife biologist studying bats. Acting as an expert, students explore the important role bats play in the environment while working to dispel common myths about these fascinating and beneficial creatures. Students will also explain how bats use echolocation to navigate and survive. Their ultimate goal: to get the public excited about welcoming bats into the neighborhood!
